Facility is easy to locate. The accessibility to enter and exit is great. Overall customer service was good. One improvement would be to have cleaner storage units.

The price went up within two days without any explanation. The first unit 10 X 10 size was $66.50. The second unit same size 10 X 10 was increased to $100.50 two days later without consent. She said the special promotion was over. The office manager Tina was going to charge the Insurance $12.50 without consent. I had to point out the Insurance charges that I did not need it. No good.

So glad we chose this facility. It was a very seamless transition from unloading our truck contents into the storage unit. It rained and the Libertyville facility has a nice loading dock so none of our items got wet. The price is reasonable and the facility is SO clean. I feel that our contents are very safe inside our unit. Thank you for a GREAT experience.

Let me preface this: Jennifer, one of the managers, is awesome. She is helpful, responsive and very kind. She does her absolute best to make sure everyone has a good experience. That being said, there is another manager over here, Tammy who is the exact opposite. In addition, the facility is a disaster. I recently opened up my storage unit to find EVERYTHING covered in MOLD. There were visible water tracks (at least a foot wide on two of them) running from the ceiling to the floor. When I reported this to Tammy, she not only tried to tell me it was my fault, but also said that the water was coming up through the floor and not their fault. How pray tell, does water come up from the floor and coat chairs that will grow mold that are off the floor and 4 feet tall?! About two hours later, Tammy was unable (unwilling) to help me sort out the issue, unable (unwilling) to provide a copy of the incident report she filed, and unable (unwilling) to provide any follow up at all. After printing out a copy of the contract I signed, Tammy pointed out that the contract I signed clearly stated she was not liable. Not only that, but that I accepted the unit in AS IS condition. Meaning that if there was water there, they did not have to tell me. Further, if I couldn't see it, then it was my problem. She also pointed out that the contract says that Cubesmart is not liable for Water, Fire, Mold, Mildew Etc even if it is Cubesmart's NEGLIGENCE that leads to those conditions. Its absolutely absurd. There are tons of storage units in the area. Spend a few extra dollars and go ANYWHERE else.

They had me at 'hello'. Courtesy call before moving in, friendly employee when we arrived. HOWEVER, the full monthly price was not disclosed until we showed up on move-in day with all our items; additional cost of mandatory insurance add-on was not mentioned or shown on the website. Eventually the associate mentioned the insurance fee could be waived if we were home owners and showed proof of insurance. But it took over 2 hours to gain that proof and have it faxed from our insurance agent. Also, the associate on site warned us the monthly cost will go up every 6 months "based on market average". What?! We selected this storage site because the price seemed to be below the market average. Anyway, this is going to cause us to pull our items out in 6 months. Also, the ceiling of our storage unit is torn and taped together. Lastly, the bathroom near the lobby was quite dirty.

They were very nice and persistent with the sale. I needed the help of a moving truck and they coordinated with the neighboring facility and worked together to ensure I would have the truck when I needed it. The manager at the north Chicago branch was wonderful, while the Waukegan manager was off to a rough start with the day. Overall it was a great experience and I was only able to accomplish my move with the over the top extra help from your facility.

This facility was unexpectedly perfect Very generous access hours and the design very well thought out. If it proves to be what I expect, I'll be using this storage space for the foreseeable future.
